On May 9th, 2006, the latest statistics from MII showed that since the beginning of this year, electronics & information industry in our country has developed swiftly. Major indexes in the first quarter were completed well with increasing ratio higher than the same period last year. And profit increase got higher than scale increase. Sales revenue realized by scaled industries in the first quarter ramped up to RMB 799.18 billion yuan, increasing by 31.4% over the same period last year.
According to Fusion Consulting, the industrial output total valued of USD 124.16 billion from North China, the total electronics production in North China accounts for 27% of China's total output and is expected to grow to 29% by 2008.
The Bohai Bay Area is a vital economic engine for China's continuing push forwards a market economy. Many MNCs have established research center in Beijing and manufacturing plants in Tianjin, such as Motorola, Microsoft, HP, Panasonic, Fujitsu and Samsung.
